The information necessary for assessing the traffic situation will be collected by the light signal systems and forwarded to a control center. Thus, the light signal system will also become an important traffic sensor. At the same time, the traffic control center will delegate more and more tasks to locally networked light signal systems, thus creating a hierarchical optimization system.
In these concepts, the light signal system has many different functions and must communicate and be networked with many different devices from different manufacturers. Within the scope of REMAS dresden elektronik will map this complex information landscape and provide interfaces to the necessary partners. The services to be rendered for this purpose comprise the infrastructure components and communication to the control center. Both are located in AP 200. In order to provide developers of infrastructure components and light signal systems with extended possibilities for testing the devices and systems in simulated, but at the same time very realistic environments, connections between the traffic flow simulation, real data such as the LSA supply, and the test tools are developed in AP 600.
