Equipment safety

Electrical and electronical devices

Device safety is a basic requirement for an electrical or electronic device. The assemblies must be developed, designed and manufactured, that they meet the essential health and safety requirements, which are defined in the low-voltage directive.

Tests and measurements

  • Electrical safety tests:
    • Testing the protective conductor resistance
    • Insulation resistance and equivalent leakage current
    • Voltage test up to 6 kV
  • Safety assessments of devices
  • Network and power supply analysis

We test according to the following standards

  • VDE 0701-0702
Testing after repair, modification of electrical devices
  • EN 50178 / VDE 0160
Equipping high-voltage systems with electronic equipment
  • EN 60204 / VDE 0113
    Electrical equipment of machines
  • EN 662368-1 / VDE 0868-1
Facilities for audio / video, information and communication technology
  • EN 61010-1 / VDE 0411
Safety regulations for el. measuring, control, regulating and laboratory devices
  • EN 60335-1 / VDE 0700-1
Security of electrical devices for household use and similar purposes
  • EN 61347-1 / VDE 0712-30
